WIRA WIRA leaves (Gnaphalium graveolens ssp. Viravira Mold. Herba) - food supplement.
This tiny, gray-green plant only grows up to 20-40 centimeters. Its blossoms are yellow and the whole plant is covered in a whitish fluff. It occures at altitudes around 3500 above the sea level, mostly in stony, wet, watery places of South American Andes. It’s typical for its bitter aroma. It is a kind of alpine edelweiss. The herb has found its place in the traditional ethnomedicine of the mountain cultures of the Peruvian and Bolivian Andes.

Use for infusion:
Pour hot (about 80°C) water over 5g of the herb. Let it stand for about 15 minutes, then drain and slowly sip 3dcl 3 times a day. The drink can be sweetened with bee honey to achieve a better taste.
