UBOS (Spondias mombin L. Cortex) - food supplement.

Ubos - an upright, up to 25 meter tall tree, the trunk of which is grooved by deep grooves, often with a brown resinous substance, which is used as an adhesive. Its small white blossoms attract lots of insects. The blossoms later evolve into aromatic oval-plum shaped fruits, which are about 3-5cm long, with a leathery skin and a thin layer of exotic tasting flesh. The tree is covered in grapes, which consist of more than twelve fruits each. Most of the fruit, rich in vitamins B1 and C, is an oval seed. The fetus, however, serves as food for animals, the natives rarely consume it. On the other hand, the bast of the tree has found its place in the indigenous ethnomedicine of the Amazon.

Use for decoction:

Pour 1 liter of cold water onto 5 grams of the herb, bring to a boil, cook on low heat under a lid for about 20-30 minutes, then drain and sip 3 dcl 3 times a day. The drink can be sweetened with bee honey to achieve a better taste.
