FLOR DE ARENA leaves (Tiquillia paronychoides A.T. Rich. Herba) - food supplement.

This herb has its flowers clustered into grape-like structures.  It seeks sandy, sunny habitats and can mostly be found on the Pacific coast of South America. Hence its native name flor de arena - the sand flower. Its young sprouts and leaves are covered in a delicate fluff. At maturity, it turns gray and becomes odorless. The empirical experience of traditional ethnomedicine recommends it mainly to harmonize and prevent negative effects of an unhealthy lifestyle.

Use for infusion:

Pour hot (about 80°C) water over 5g of the herb. Let it stand for about 15 minutes, then drain and slowly sip 3dcl 3 times a day. The drink can be sweetened with bee honey to achieve a better taste.
