CHUCHUHUASI (CHUCHUHUASA) (Maytenus macrocarpa R&P Briq. Cortex) -  food supplement.

Chuchuhuasi is a monumental Amazonian tree, which the locals call the "trembling back". We can guess what this medicinal herb is used for already by its name. The tree bark extract contains a high concentration of antioxidants. The inhabitants of the Amazon basin use the bark decoction as a tonic. If you visit the rainforest, be sure to try a drink called "The jungle drink". It is a bark leach in a sugar cane rum, which has helped many travelers master the difficult jungle march. Chuchuhuasi is also a part of a famous drink called Siete raices (Seven Roots).

Use for decoction:

Pour 1 liter of cold water onto 5 grams of the herb, bring to a boil, cook on low heat under a lid for about 20-30 minutes, then drain and sip 3 dcl 3 times a day. The drink can be sweetened with bee honey to achieve a better taste.
